Keetley Jennie-Lee Keetley
 
Jennie-Lee Keetley was born in London in 1980 and attended the Birmingham Conservatoire where she obtained her BMus degree with first class honours and won the Anthony Millar oboe prize. While at the conservatoire, Jennie-Lee spent four months on an Erasmus exchange at Franz Liszt Hochscule, Continuing her studies in London at the Royal College of Music, Jennie-Lee gained her Advanced Post Graduate Diploma with distinction. During her time here, Jennie-Lee was the recipient of Lucy Ann Jones and Astor awards as well as a South Square Trust Scholarship. The high standard of her playing also earned her financial support from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the Musicians Benevolent Fund. As a student Jennie-Lee was also invited to join in the desk partnership schemes of the London Symphony, BBC Symphony and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestras.

Since her college days, Jennie-Lee’s career has encompassed a wide range of playing on both the oboe and the cor anglais. Her orchestral work has included appearances with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, London Mozart Players, London Concert Orchestra, London Soloists Chamber Orchestra, London Chamber Players, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra and the European Union Youth Orchestra. Equally at home in all kinds of music, Jennie-Lee has also played in ‘Miss Saigon’, for Opera East and in the Britten-Pears Contemporary Orchestra, and taken part in educational projects with the Royal Philharmonic and London Philharmonic Orchestras and ‘Elastic Band’.

Jennie-Lee is also an experienced soloist. Concerto appearances include the Vaughan Williams concerto with Southbank Sinfonia, works by Vivaldi and Albinoni with London Soloists Chamber Orchestra at St. Martin in the Fields and performances of the Mozart oboe concerto. Winning a place on the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme for two consecutive years ensured that Jennie-Lee was engaged for numerous recitals throughout the UK. She is a founder member of the Canteloube Ensemble, recipients of a scholarship for the Tunnell Trust chamber music course and also plays with Octanphonie, a wind octet, finalist in a recent Royal Overseas League competition
