Irmina Irmina Trynkos
 
Irmina Trynkos is a United Kingdom based violinist of Polish and Greek descent. She began her studies at the age of six and, when only eight, made her debut with the Divertimento Polish Youth Orchestra. The same year she received an Honourable Mention at the Bacewicz National Polish Violin Competition. In 2000 she was a finalist at the 20th Century Music International Competition in Poland and established herself here as one of the most promising young violinists of her time.

She studied with such eminent professors as Nina Minko (soloist of Ukrainian National Philharmonic, National Music Conservatory Kiev), Martin Mumelter (Mozarteum Music University in Salzburg, soloist), Martin Chalifour (USC Thornton Schoool of Music Los Angeles, concertmaster of LA Phil) and Lydia Mordkovitch. In July 2005, she was the first person in the history of the Mozarteum Music University, Salzburg to be awarded a Bachelor degree after only two years study.

Major scholarships and awards include the Mozarteum Award 2004, Arcana Foundation Award 2005, a full scholarship with Prof. Martin Chalifour at the USC Thornton School of Music 2006, Second Prize at the International Violin Competition in Palermo 2006. Irmina has participated in Masterclasses given by Edward Grach, Nam Yun Kim, Konstanty Kulka, Krzysztof Wegrzyn and Wanda Wilkomirska etc.

Lately she has received a Belmore Woodgate Scholarship, AHRC Scholarship and sponsorship from the BPH Bank Foundation. In 2007 she received the prestigious Serena Nevill Prize from the Concordia Foundation.

Classical various mp3 artists She performed recently with Neeme Järvi and the St. Petersburg Orchestra and gave recitals with Ayke Agus, the last pianist to have played for Heifetz. Future engagements include her debut CD on the Polish Music Label DUX, concerts at St. John’s Smith Square, St. Martin in the Fields, St. Paul’s Covent Garden, the Kiepura Summer Festival, the International Festival of Competitions Prize Winners, the Silesia concert series, the Radziejowice Palace Recital Series, Spring Festival in Naleczów and concertos with The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, The Wieniawski Philharmonic, the Northampton Symphony Orchestra and with Sinfonia Varsovia.
